Seamless High Alumina Ceramic Lining

Seamless High Alumina Ceramic Lining
Cladtec / SAS Global offers FUSION CAST Ceramic as an economical way to protect surfaces with High Alumina Ceramic. FUSION CAST is a unique, specially prepared material comprised of resin, curing agent, and a controlled blend of High Alumina Ceramic Aggregate. A specific volume of epoxy combined with densley packed High Alumina Ceramic Aggregate gives FUSION CAST the ability to withstand abrasion and moderate impact due to its inherent resilience. High Alumina Ceramic used in the manufacture of Fusion Cast is Alpha-Alumina fired at temperatures of 3000 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 hours. The 90%+ High Alumina Ceramic is then crushed and screened to specific sizes. The hardness of Fusion Cast is 1700 to 2000 on the Knoop hardness scale and 9 on the Mohs scale.
High Alumina Ceramic, tile or engineered shapes, has proven to be one of the better materials used to combat abrasion. But problems such as delamination, joint and seam erosion, and failure due to impact or freezing conditions, have created concerns for industrial users. FUSION CAST Ceramic offers the abrasion resistant properties of High Alumina Ceramic without the associated problems.

FUSION CAST Ceramic lined pipes are centrifugally cast and thermally cured. By virtue of centrifugal force, the ceramic aggregate migrates and aligns to the outside diameter providing for a dense lining. The ceramic lining is monolithically bonded to the inner pipe and fitting shell. The fused ceramic lining has no internal joints or seams allowing materials to be conveyed in normal laminar flow. Many Engineers and Maintenance people have learned the importance of designing out joints and seams when wear control is a consideration.
FUSION CAST Ceramic has no physical size and shape limitation. Variations on inside diameter, outside diameter, liner thickness, connection method, and length are all attainable.
FUSION CAST Ceramic products are working successfully in pneumatic and hydraulic piping systems in all major industries: Utility, Steel Mill, Foundry, Cement, Automotive, Coal Preparation, etc. FUSION CAST Ceramic systems can be custom designed and manufactured to meet your specific needs.
